Energy Performance Certificates

Are you aware that on the 6th April 2008 new legislation comes into effect in England and Wales for both residential and non-residential properties, in accordance with the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspection) Regulations 2007?

The new legislation will be phased in from April, July and October this year requiring Energy Performance Certificates to be provided in connection with the sale, rental and construction of property, subject to certain size limitations.

We are pleased to announce that Project & Building Consultancy in conjunction with accredited Energy Assessors will be able to provide Energy Performance Certificates for clients in compliance with the new legislation.

During the intervening period, we can also arrange provisional Energy Performance Certificates to be prepared for our client’s property, to provide advice on the energy efficiency of their buildings, the likely rating when the legislation comes into effect and what could be done to obtain improved energy performance and enhance the value of their assets.

Energy Performance Certificates can only be produced by independent and accredited Energy Assessors, once the accreditation scheme is opened by the Government, providing comfort to our clients that the Certificates will be issued by competent professionals.
